Graduated from the National Massage Therapist Institute in 2011 and has not looked back. She believes that massage is a necessary part of living both a vital and healthy lifestyle and is way more than just "luxury." Her approach to healing is rooted in believing that we are all one body and it is our responsibility to take care of one another (with our gifts). You will commonly hear Shakia say "If one of us are out of whack, then we are all out of whack." 

Shakia's training and practices include (but are not limited to) deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, and injury rehabilitation. Additionally, she has three years of experience focusing on relieving chronic headaches with neck and shoulder pain. In May 2017, she received her Medical Massage Practitioner's Certification through the LMT success group. She has just recently moved to the Augusta area and is looking forward to building on life here with her two children.
